New Cryogenic Propellant Testing Facility to Open in 2025

Barber-Nichols and P3 Technologies Unveil Cryogenic Propellant Testing Facility to Serve Space, Defense, and Energy Needs

Barber-Nichols, a Graham Corporation company, is excited to announce the addition of a new Cryogenic Propellant Testing Facility, aimed at addressing a critical need for agile, efficient testing solutions in cryogenic fuels. This facility, located in Florida near our P3 Technologies team, is scheduled to begin operations by mid-2025, providing a state-of-the-art site for testing liquid hydrogen (LH₂), liquid oxygen (LOX), and liquid methane (LCH₄).

Driving Innovation and Reducing Time-to-Market for Key Industries

Phil Pelfrey, General Manager at P3 Technologies, shared his enthusiasm for the new facility:

“By bringing testing in-house, we’re able to accelerate the entire process—from development to validation—drastically reducing time-to-market and allowing us to respond faster to customer needs.”

As demands in the Space, Defense, and New Energy sectors grow, this facility will enable faster testing and validation cycles, supporting our customers’ development programs with advanced testing capabilities and ensuring reliable, on-demand access to cryogenic testing solutions.
