BNI continues to demonstrate their 100% commitment to advancing the engineering capability and manufacturing footprint in Colorado.
“Any day you can help welcome new manufacturing jobs and facilities to Colorado is a good day,” said Senator Gardner. “It was an honor to join the groundbreaking ceremony at Barber-Nichols and celebrate the future of their new manufacturing facility in Arvada. BNI continues to experience rapid growth in current business industries including undersea power & propulsion systems, thermal management systems, space-based applications, and advanced power generation & energy storage. In an effort to facilitate this unprecedented expansion, the company has acquired property adjacent to the current campus. Construction is scheduled for completion in early 2021 and the new facility will improve manufacturing efficiency by consolidating BNI’s machining, quality control, and manufacturing support operations. Barber-Nichols is planning to hire more than twenty new full-time employees in 2020 and continues to seek qualified machinists, technicians, and engineers from the Denver-metro area.
U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) expressed, “Congratulations to the team at Barber-Nichols for the growth and success that has resulted in the groundbreaking of this new building.
